A Sight to See

Shutter speed is the speed at which the shutter of the camera closes. A fast shutter speed creates a shorter exposure — the amount of light the camera takes in — and a slow shutter speed gives the photographer a longer exposure.

The aperture is the opening in the lens that allows light to enter the camera and onto the sensor or film.

ISO controls the amount of light your camera lets in, and therefore how dark or light your photos will be.
